About Circles
What is a Circle?
A Circle is your village for the fourth trimester:
-
A small group of moms with babies 0-3 months old
-
Meets weekly for 5-6 weeks
-
Led by a trained postpartum doula
-
Groups are kept small with 6-12 moms and their babies.
-
Designed for consistent participation—drop-ins aren’t offered.
-
You’ll cover topics like:
-
Feeding basics (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and more).
-
Navigating baby sleep.
-
Postpartum recovery and wellness.
-
Finding your identity as a new mom.
-
Tips for soothing and bonding with your baby.
-
And plenty of other must-know advice!
Who leads Circles?
Your Circle will be led by a trained postpartum doula, with guest experts such as lactation consultants, sleep coaches, and pelvic floor therapists joining for select sessions. Leaders vary by Circle and location.
How does it work?
-
1.
Select your city and sign up for a Circle that starts shortly after your due date or baby’s birth. -
2.
Prepare for your first session. A few days before your Circle begins, we’ll send you all the details you need to feel ready. -
3.
Show up as you are. No need to stress about looking perfect—your Circle is a judgment-free zone. -
4.
Feel free to bring your baby or leave them at home (the decision is up to mom!). We recommend bringing a small blanket for baby to lie on, as well as anything else that helps you take care of yourself and your baby (diapers, wipes, formula, bottle, a snack or drink for you etc.)! -
5.
Stay connected. Enjoy ongoing support through your Circle’s private Slack channel, where you can ask questions, share experiences, and connect with your doula and group. -
6.

Who is CircleMoms for?
CircleMoms is for moms navigating the fourth trimester. When the circle starts, all of the moms will have given birth in the past 3 months. You can join anytime from your first week postpartum up until your baby is three months old. We recommend signing up while you are pregnant as circes often fill up. See below questions about moving between circles!
How is CircleMoms different from other mom groups?
CircleMoms focuses specifically on the fourth trimester, bringing together small groups of moms who are in the same stage as you (or just a week or two ahead or behind). It’s a unique opportunity to find your mom friends and gain expert guidance, all in one place, creating a supportive and meaningful experience during this transformative time.
I'm having my second or third baby. Is there any point in joining CircleMoms?
Absolutely! CircleMoms welcomes first-time moms and those on their second (or third, or fourth!) journey. No two babies are alike, and many moms choose to do things differently the second or third time around. Plus, having a second or third comes with its own challenges. Chances are there are others in the group experiencing the same things as you!
How do I choose the right date for my Circle?
Select a Circle that starts near your due date or shortly after. If you’re unsure or need to make a change later, our team is happy to help you find the best fit!
When should I sign up for a Circle?
We recommend signing up as soon as possible since spaces fill up quickly! If your due date isn’t available yet, join the waitlist, and we’ll notify you as soon as sign-ups open.
I have more questions! Can I speak to someone?
Yes! Reach out to your city lead or email us at info@circlemoms.com
My baby will be a little over 3 months old when the circle starts. Is that okay?
Yes! We don’t ask for baby’s birth certificate when you join.
My baby is in the NICU. Is it okay to join without baby? Or should I wait until baby comes home?
We recommend joining a circle as soon as you are able to following birth. The earlier you join a cirlce, the earlier you can get the support you deserve from the postpartum doula, speciailists, and other moms in the circle.
What happens if I can’t join my Circle?
No worries! If there’s space, we’ll help you move to the next available Circle.
What’s included in the cost of a Circle?
Your Circle includes 5-6 weekly sessions led by a postpartum doula, access to our Slack community, guest speakers, weekly handouts, and local resources for moms in your city. And, most importantly, the postpartum support and community you deserve!
What if my plans change after I join a Circle?
We understand life happens! Let us know as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate changes or find a different Circle for you.
What is a postpartum doula?
A postpartum doula provides evidenced-based information on things such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, mother-baby bonding, infant soothing, and basic newborn care. Research shows that moms, dads, and babies have an easier time with this transition if a good support team is in place.
The circle in my location starts only a week or two after I give birth. I'm nervous I won't be ready to leave the house.
Leaving the house for the first time is HARD! We know that – we have been there! And we know that most moms don’t feel like themselves in the early postpartum days and might not love the idea of meeting a whole new group of freinds when they feel like crap. Remember, everyone in the room will be newly postpartum, or a few weeks ahead of you. If we had to choose somewhere to be for our first outing, it would be CircleMoms. Someone in the room will have forgotten something, and there are five other moms that will have the forgotten item with them. Many moms have their partners drop them off at the Circle and will help them in with baby if they are not ready to lift anything heavy. Strollers, car seats, baby carriers, etc. are all welcome in your Circle!
What to Expect
How many moms are in each Circle?
Circles typically have 6-12 moms, creating a close-kint group for meaningful connections.
Are the same moms in each Circle?
Yes! You’ll meet with the same moms and postpartum doula each week for 5-6 weeks, forming a consistent and supportive group.
Can I bring my baby to Circle meetings? Do I have to bring my baby?
Most moms typically bring their baby to the circles, but babies are not required! If you feel more comfortable leaving baby at home (or if you want a break from baby), feel free to come solo!
How many times do I meet with my Circle?
Circles meet once a week for 5-6 weeks. In between, moms stay connected on Slack and arrange coffee dates, walks, or other meetups with their group!
Where do Circle meetings take place?
Circles meet in person at various locations within your city. You can find the location on the Circle listing and you’ll receive more specific details about your Circle a few days before your first meeting.
Are there specific topics for each week?
Yes! Each week covers a curated topic relevant to the fourth trimester. You’ll receive handouts, meet with guest specialists, and have time each week to ask your doula any questions that are currently on your mind.
What role does the postpartum doula play?
Your postpartum doula leads the sessions, offering research-based guidance and creating a safe, judgment-free space to share and learn. They’ll help troubleshoot any postpartum challenges you’re facing. They will also be available to you via Slack in-between the cirlces and once your Circle has concluded.
What kind of expert guidance will I get in a Circle?
Each Circle is led by an experienced postpartum doula, with guest experts joining to cover topics like baby sleep, postpartum recovery, and feeding. You’ll also receive a comprehensive resource guide filled with expert tips, weekly handouts, and actionable advice tailored to the fourth trimester. The guide includes practical tools, such as feeding and sleep insights, self-care strategies, and postpartum wellness tips, to help you navigate the early days of motherhood with confidence.
Does CircleMoms have a set philosophy on mothering?
CircleMoms is a space for all parenting styles. Our postpartum doulas share recommendations (goal being to keep you and baby safe and healthy), and you’ll get to hear from the other moms in your Circle, but every mom and family is unique. We’re here to help you find what works best for you.
How do I get the most out of my Circle?
Be open and vulnerable—you’ll get the same in return. Stay engaged on Slack, attend events, and take advantage of time to connect with your Circle outside of weekly meetings.
What happens after my Circle ends?
You can stay connected with your Circle through our Slack community and local alumni events. Many moms keep in touch and continue meeting long after their sessions end!

Do you offer payment plans for Circles?
At this time, payment is required in full when you sign up for a Circle. Gift cards and adding a Circle to your registry are a great option if friends or family want to contribute to your experience!
